Bring the benefits of sound-based training to individuals and families in the Gold Coast and Brisbane area

Established in 2016, the Centre applies Interactive Listening Systems (iLs), a multi-sensory training method, to improve neuro-developmental, psychomotor coordination, social, communication and learning functions for:

  1. Children with autistic spectrum disorders, attention deficit disorder, central auditory disorder or other learning problems;
  2. Adults with mild affective disorders including anxiety and depressive problems

iLs is a multi-sensory program for improving brain function. It combines visual, vestibular and movement activities with an auditory program. In essence, iLs trains the brain to process sensory, cognitive and emotional information more effectively. It starts with music and movement, and then gradually integrate language and cognitive tasks. Customized for different ages and clinical situations, iLs can be applied in clinics, schools, and home, and is complementary to a broad variety of educational, clinical/therapeutic and self-improvement programs;

Specifically, iLs is intended for (Aged 5 and older with):

  • Learning Difficulties (e.g. reading, attention, language and auditory processing)
  • Autism and other neurodevelopmental challenges
  • Ill-defined sensory processing issues
  • Cognitive Functions related to stroke/head injury rehabilitation
  • Performance Optimization, including processing speed, sleep, creativity and self-expression
  • Mild anxiety and/or depressive symptoms

iLs is not suitable for:

  • Tinnitus
  • Alzheimer’s, dementia
  • Tourette’s syndrome
  • Seizure disorders
  • Bipolar disorder

As an education tool aimed at improving functions in behavioral, communication, social, cognitive and learning areas, iLs is entirely free of adverse effects. While it may reduce some of the symptoms to a varying extent, it is not a medical tool or device, and it does not claim to be a treatment or a cure to the underlying condition. iLs is now registered with NDIS.
